Movie Review: Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is a 2016 action movie directed by David Ayer, mostly known for Training Day (2001) and Fury (2014). It is starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jay Hernandez, Jai Courtney, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Cara Delevingne,Joel  Kinnaman and Viola Davis. A synopsis reads : “It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

First thing I want to talk about is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She is amazing, she is exactly what I expected Harley Queen to be. She is also my favourite character from the squad.  Jared Leto is great, he is a very controversial pick as the Joker and I think reactions will be mixed. My opinion is that he was fantastic, but he did not get enough screen time. Then there was Will Smith as Deadshot, he was the main leader of the suicide squad.Viola Davis as Amanda Waller was probably the best casting. She was just so menacing and is such an amazing and talented actress. Ben Affleck as Batman appears in a small cameo. I wanted Batman to be more involved in the story though. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje plays Killer Croc and his performance was good, but wasn’t a stand-out like I was hoping. They didn’t really put him in it too much, but he was still good. I must say I was impressed with Diablo, who has in my opinion, the most badass powers in the squad . All in all, this movie had enough comedy and action to blend in to an amazing summer movie. I won’t compare it to Batman vs Superman or Captain America because it isn’t fair, they are all good in there own way. I highly recommend it. Go see this movie in theaters. It’s highly worth your time.

Listen to a brand new song from Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez

Hey guys, long time no see. Sorry it took so long since my last post, but I’ve been extremely busy. Now I’m back doing what I do best: writing. Today I want to put under the spotlight the perfect break-up song. It comes from Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez and it’s called We don’t talk anymore. I absolutely love this track and I hope you’ll like it too. Listen to We don’t talk anymore here:
