Hey guys. I’m back with another post, this time I would like to bring into the spotlight a music video that has just been released. I’m talking about Romania’s entry for Eurovision this year, Yodel It by Ilinca and Alex Florea. I must say I’m pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the video and the visual elements that were used so smartly. I like the idea that it promotes Cluj, one of the most beautiful cities in Romania. Overall, I think it’s a good video for this song and it gives a plus on the image of our singers.
This year Eurovision Song Contest is held at Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, with the two Semi-Finals being scheduled on 9 and 11 May 2017, while the Grand Final is on 13th May 2017.
I hope you’ll enjoy Ilinca and Alex Florea’s video for Yodel It ! which you can watch below and I’m waiting for some comments from you. Last, but not least good luck to Romania at this year’s Eurovision!
Table 19 is a 87 minute Comedy/Drama that is starring Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, Craig Robinson, Tony Revolori, Stephen Merchant and June Squibb. It is directed by Jeffrey Blitz, mostly known for the TV show The Office (2006-2013). A synopsis reads: “Eloise, having been relieved of maid of honor duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text, decides to attend the wedding anyway, only to find herself seated with five fellow unwanted guests at the dreaded Table 19″.
What I like about this film is the fact that the story is simple, charming and it presents the raw reality and sometimes awkwardness of relationships. There are two main relationships that are depicted, and both of them have its complications: the relationship between Eloise and Teddy and the one between Bina and Jerry Kepp. Besides this, we have a young man, Rezno, who is struggling with his confidence in asking someone to dance with him.
Nobody beautiful, rich or influential is at table 19. It turns out they are all at a turning point in their lives and the story evolves about their various crisis. These people are all amazing and their stories are interesting. I believe the soundtrack is well chosen and the spark of sensuality provided when Huck and Eloise dance is well done. I discovered a new song in this film that I now love- Roses by The Chainsmokers and ROZES
Stepehen Merchant’s character, Walter, will definitely make you laugh with his funny and awkward way of being and the way he talks. Nanny Jo is also an interesting character that gives the story a plus. This film is a combination of funny and sad moments, but I feel that it works well for its viewers. On the whole, Table 19 is a feel-good film that is definitely worth watching. If I were to rate this film I would give it a 7 out of 10.

The Boss Baby is a 2017 animation starring Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow. It is directed by Tom McGrath, mostly known for Madagascar (2005). A synopsis reads: “A suit-wearing briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his seven year-old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.
The Boss Baby is funny and heartwarming. It has plenty of quality laugh-out-loud moments, and has humor that will appeal to everyone, not just kids. There were also some very touching moments.. especially the boy’s bedtime routine and the relationship he develops with the boss baby. The intro scene with the baby deliveries is very cute and funny. I must say that in this film the babies seem much cuter than in real life.
Besides the conflict of the two brothers fighting for the attention of their parents, there is a separate plot line about Francis Francis trying to get people to love more puppies instead of babies-it involves creating a new breed of puppy that never grows up. The Boss baby character is hilarious. I loved the reflections on parenthood, feeding the baby, dummy sucking, milk bottles, diapers (nappies), vomit, lack of sleep, etc
The Boss Baby is an entertaining spectacle that is fun, funny, and clever at many points. This movie is certainly adorable and is the perfect family film (for all ages) . The story is simplistic and silly, and doesn’t have as much magic as a Disney film, but it’s nice to have a unique, original story that doesn’t involve making a political ordeal out of it. My personal rating for this film is 7.5 out of 10.
